Hardware connection
Wiring the SICLOCK radio clock module to the power supply / SM 321 is
made as follows:
PS SM 321 SICLOCK
E 0.3 Yellow (received signal)
M Grey (cable screen)
L+ Green (supply voltage)
M Brown (signal and supply ground)
For amplifying the SICLOCK transmitter signal, using an optocoupler may
be required. In this case wiring is made according to the scheme below:
SIMATIC S7
PS SM
Optocoupler SICLOCK
+13 24Vdc
Green (supply voltage)
A2
0V
Brown (signal and supply ground)
Mass
Grey (cable screen)
E 0.3 14
A1 Yellow (received signal)
Important note
The radio clock module should be positioned so that the radio signal is not shielded
by building facades of metal or similar obstacles. The module itself must be
shielded from interference frequencies and should not be positioned directly on a
metal surface.
