Wiring Variations
There are two connection types available for measuring with the resistive wire strain:
• 4-wire measurement:
The advantage of this variation is that a four-pole connection
cable can be used for the DMS; however, the voltage drop on the circuit for the
bridge supply voltage cannot be compensated.

• 6-wire measurement:
This method has the advantage of voltage compensation
through direct measurement of the bridge supply voltage on the DMS.
