Troubleshooting
Symptom Possible cause and remedy
Frontal display dark The power cable is not connected.
Connect the power cable to the mains socket. Connect
the main switch.
The red LED is lit. The receiver is in the standby mode.
Press the “Standby” key on the remote control (or at the
receiver). The receiver switches on and the program is
displayed on the TV screen. On the display of the
receiver, the channel-location number will appear.
The antenna is not directed correctly.
Direct the antenna properly.
No sound or image,
but receiver menus
are displayed
No or only weak signal.
Check the cable connection from the antenna to the
receiver and from the receiver to the connected
equipment. Direct the antenna.
The system is not connected properly.
Check connection of the SCART cable
The red LED and
the green channel
location on the
receiver are lit, TV
set does not show
any image.
The TV set is not in AV mode.
Switch the TV set to the respective AV input.
The antenna is not directed correctly.
Direct the antenna more precisely.
Poor image,
blocking error,
formation of small
blocks, sound
stops
The antenna is defective. Replace antenna.
The batteries are exhausted.
Replace the batteries with new ones.
The remote control
does not work
The remote control is not directed properly.
Aim the remote control towards the front side of the
receiver and ensure that there is no obstacle between the
remote control and the receiver.
Channel has a new
frequency
Delete the TV channel, then scan automatically.
