      If your Simer Water Pump runs but pumps little or no water, there might be a few reasons: * The impeller could be worn, in which case you should replace it. * The motor brushes might be bad, so you should replace them. * There could be a bad U-cup shaft seal (resulting in pump leaks), so you should replace the pump. * The suction or discharge hose might be kinked or coiled; if so, straighten out the hose.

      Your Simer Water Pump might not prime due to several reasons: * The suction hose may not be full; fill it. * The suction hose might be too long or too small; use a 1/2” suction hose, 6’ long or less. * The impeller could be worn; replace it. * There might be suction leaks; replace the hose washer and check for leaks in the hose. * The suction hose could be kinked or coiled; straighten it out.

      Your Simer Water Pump may stop without warning due to: * Overheating, which trips the thermal overload. Wait for the overload to reset; the pump will automatically restart. * A discharge hose that is too long or a discharge lift higher than 28’. Use a shorter hose or reduce the lift height.
