LED Color Indication Possible cause Action
Fault Red Over temperature The internal temperature > than
90° C (194° F).
WARNING: The heat sink case
may be too hot to touch.
Ensure air is able to
ow freely around
the RI-50.
Switch o RI-50,
allow to cool, and
check again.
Red

Once the RI-50 returns to a
stable state, either RUN or OFF,
the fault LED will indicate its last
condition.
Flashing patterns indicate the type of fault or warning that is
detected.
The patterns repeat every 5s. Only one pattern displays at a
time. Patterns consist of 1 to 4 ashes with each ash being
short (.) or long (-).
Warnings start with short; faults start with long. There are no
patterns with all long.

Input voltage is unstable Check supply voltage
Check DC supply
cables, connections,
and proper AWG for
cable length.

Remote input is OFF, < 2.5 V Ensure the remote
switch position is set
ON.

Flat battery or very low input
voltage, < 9 V (24 V)
Check battery
voltage.
Replace the RI-50.
Warning

Low input voltage in 24 V system,
< 19 V. The RI-50 switched to
standby due to low input voltage.
Could be engine cranking or other
heavy load.
Check supply voltage
Check DC supply
cables, connections,
and proper AWG for
cable length.
Replace the RI-50.
