Procedure
1 On the electric switchboard, switch OFF the radar main breaker, and attach a card stating:
“WORK IN PROGRESS - DO NOT SWITCH ON”.
2 On the R5000 PSU, switch the power switch to the OFF position, and attach a card stating:
“WORK IN PROGRESS - DO NOT SWITCH ON”.
3 Switch safety switch to the OFF position.
4 Use the 5 mm Allen
®
key to loosen the four captive screws to open the port end cap.
5 With the 8 mm open wrench, loosen and remove the SMA connector on the performance monitor module.
6 Use the T20 Torx
®
key to remove the 4 M4 screws securing the performance monitor antenna.
7 Remove the performance monitor antenna from the radar pedestal.
Install new performance monitor antenna
8 Ensure the new performance monitor seal is in place.
9 Carefully feed the RF cable through the entry point.
10 Tighten the 4 M4 screws using a T20 Torx
®
key to secure the new performance monitor antenna.
11 Connect RF cable to the performance monitor module with the 8 mm open wrench.
12 Ensure all cables are properly secured.
13 Check that the O-rings are correctly seated in the end caps before closing the pedestal.
14 Use the 5 mm Allen
®
key to tighten the captive screws in both endcaps.
15 Switch the safety switch to the ON position.
16 On the electric switchboard, set the radar main breaker to ON and remove the card reading:
“WORK IN PROGRESS - DO NOT SWITCH ON”.
17 On the R5000 PSU, switch the power switch to the ON position and remove the card reading:
“WORK IN PROGRESS - DO NOT SWITCH ON”.
18 The radar is ready to be tested.
