Extended tune
The extended tune allows for initial tuning and adjustment of the radar system.
Adjustment options:
• Tuning (A)
• Pre-STC (B)
• Performance monitor (C)
• Sidelobe suppression (D)
To use the radar controls and the adjustment options:
1 Left-click the icon to activate the option
2 Adjust the value by using the trackball wheel or the rotary knob

Note: A waiting period of 20 minutes in standby is necessary for the magnetron to reach
the correct operating temperature.
The coarse tune can be automatic or manual.
The automatic tuning will work well in most installations. The manual tuning is used if it is
required to adjust the result from an automatic tuning.
When the automatic tuning is selected, a progress bar indicates status. The value is stored
automatically when the tuning is completed.
Pre STC
The pre-STC curve has a fixed value that is not to be changed during normal operation.
The value of the STC curve is optimized during testing at the factory, and will usually not
require any adjustment after installation.
It is possible to change the amplitude and the slope of the pre-STC curve. This adjustment
optimizes the minimum visible distance, and it can affect the auto-tuning performance.
