NMEA 0183 equivalence with IEC 61162-1/2
This device uses the term NMEA 0183 in menus and dialogs. NMEA 0183 is equivalent with
the IEC standard IEC 61162-1/2.
Info
Displays the Ethernet connection status, the unit's IP and MAC addresses.
Control stations
Displays a list of control stations on the network.
A control station is identified by the serial number of its R5000 radar processor.
The serial numbers are added automatically for all R5000 radar processors on the Interswitch
network. If you need to add some units which are offline, the serial number must be entered
manually.
It is recommended to change the device name to ease the identification of the control
stations.
Sources
Data sources provide live data to the system.
When a device is connected to more than one source providing the same data, the user can
choose the preferred source. Before commencing with source selection make sure all
external devices and networks are connected and turned on.
Auto Select
The Auto Select option looks for all sources connected to the device. If more than one source
is available for each data type, selection is made from an internal priority list. This option is
suitable for the majority of installations.
Manual source selection
Manual selection is generally only required where there is more than one source for the same
data, and the automatically selected source is not the one desired.
