Locating pin
Locating groove
1. Hold the latch open, with locating pin
straight up.
2. Slide the bobbin case onto the center
spindle of the shuttle, keeping the
thread toward you.
INSERTING BOBBIN CASE INTO SHUTTLE
A. Raise the presser foot lifter. Always
be sure to raise the presser foot lifter
before threading the top thread. (If the
presser foot lifter is not raised, correct
thread tension cannot be obtained.)
B. Turn the hand wheel toward you until
the needle is in its highest position.
THREADING THE TOP THREAD
NOTE: Be sure the locating pin ts
into the locating groove at the top of
the shuttle.

3. Release the latch to lock the bobbin
case in place.
