Balancingthebuttonhole
Onsomekindsoffabrics,theremaybea
differenceinthedensityofthestitchesonthe
rightortheleftsideofthebuttonhole.
Thisiseasilyadjustedbyturningthebalance
knob,inthecenterofthestitchlengthdialto
balancethedensityofthestitching.
Averyslightturnofthedialwillproducea
noticeablechange.
•Ifthestitchesontherightsideofthe
buttonholearetooopen,turnthebalance
dialslightlytotheright,untilthedensityofthe
stitchesincreases.
•Ifthestitchesontheleftsideofthebuttonhole
aretooopen,turnthebalanceslightlyto
theleft,untilthedensityof thestitches
increases.
Afterthebuttonholehasbeenmadeandthe
balancehasbeenaltered,returnthebalance
dialbacktoitsneutralpositionafterallthe
buttonholesonthegarmenthavebeensewn.
