AttachtheCutter,makingsurethecutter’s“arm”
fitsaroundtheneedlebarthumbscrew.The
“arm”isthelongmetalpieceontheCutter,
whichmovesupanddown.
Thigthenthethumbscrew,securingtheCutter.
Slowlyturnthehandwheel;theneedleshould
gooverthestitchfingerontheCutter.Ifthe
needleishittingthemetalstitchfingerthen
widenthestitchwidth.Iftheneedleishittingthe
metalsidesthenreducethestitchwidth.Never
useastraightstitch.
1.Cuta1x1-inchnotchattopedgeofyour
fabric.Thisisnecessarybecausethecutter’s
bladecutspriortotheneedlestitchinganditis
bestforthemachinetohavematerialunderthe
needlewhilesewing.
2.PlacethematerialOVERthefirstmetal
platformandthenUNDERtheSecondmetal
platform.IftheCutterisnotcutting,itisusually
duetothematerialnotbeingplacedOVERthe
firstplatform.
3.Sewslowlyandgentlyguidethematerial.The
Cutterworksbestifapproximatelynomorethan
1inchisbeingtrimmedaway.
