Turn the carriage travel on. There

may be a slight pause before the carriage

begins to move.

Set the carriage speed so it is about

equal in both directions.

Slowly feed the grinding head in until

the grinding stone starts to grind the reel

then allow the grinding head to travel back

and forth.
