The figures and tables in this section give the exact definition for coded scales that can be pur-
chased at SmarAct Metrology GmbH & Co. KG. Please notice, that these definition are not ME-
TIRIO specific. From the encoder’s point of view the readhead detects only a single reference
mark at a time. The evaluation algorithm to interpret the codes has to be implemented on the
motion controller.
