Overview
SMC’s TigerSwitch
™
10/100, SMC6709FL2, is an intelligent standalone
Fast Ethernet switch with 8 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX Mbps ports and 1
100BASE-FX multi-mode port. There is also an SNMP-based
management agent embedded on the main board. This agent supports
both in-band and out-of-band access for managing the switch.
This switch can easily
tame your network with full support for Spanning Tree
Protocol
and Virtual LANs. It brings order to poorly performing networks
by segregating them into separate broadcast domains with IEEE 802.1Q
compliant VLANs, empowers multimedia applications with QoS services.
