If you're unable to connect using Telnet, Web browser, or SNMP software, ensure the agent is configured with a valid IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway. If connecting via a tagged VLAN group, your management station must include the appropriate tag in its transmitted frames. Check for a valid network connection to the switch and ensure the port being used isn't disabled. Also, verify the network cabling between your management station and the switch. If using Telnet, there might be four active sessions already; try again later.
