If you see the 'Device limit reached' message on the LCD when trying to add a SolarEdge Accessories device, it means you're trying to connect more than 10 devices to the load management network. To fix this, remove an unused device from the device list before adding a new one.

How to fix SolarEdge Accessories communication issues with an asterisk displayed?
    • H
      hicksdesireeAug 13, 2025
If an asterisk appears next to the device type in the device manager screen, the number of detected devices doesn't match the number of communicating devices, and the green LED is off, it indicates a communication problem with your SolarEdge Accessories device. This is likely because the device isn't associated with the inverter. Here are a few things you can try: * Turn the device off and then on again and recheck communication. * Reset the device by pressing the button for more than 10 seconds and then repeat the association process. Note that reconfiguration is not required in this case. * From the Device Manager screen, select 'Remove Device' and then repeat the discovery process. Note that reconfiguration *is* required in this case.
