MPI-520 – USER MANUAL
Remarks:
During measurements of insulation resistance, dangerous voltage up to 1 kV occurs at
the ends of test leads of MPI-520 meter.
It is forbidden to disconnect test leads and to change the position of the function switch
before completion of measurement. Failure to obey the above instruction will lead to
high voltage electric shock and make it impossible to discharge the object tested.
- The meter emits a continuous audio signal until test voltage reaches 90% of the preset value (and also
when 110% of the preset value is exceeded).
- After completion of measurement, the capacitance of the object tested is discharged by shorting R
ISO
+
and R
ISO
-
terminals with resistance of 100 k.
Additional information displayed by the meter
Test voltage is present on terminals of the meter.
Interference voltage occurs on the object being tested.
Measurement is possible but may be burdened with addi-
tional uncertainty.
Activation of current limit. The symbol displayed is accom-
panied by a continuous audio signal.
Wrong accessory is connected to test jack (other than WS-
03 or WS-04 or AutoISO-1000c).
WS-03 or WS-04 lead for three-lead measurements is con-
nected (measurement at L-PE, L-N and N-PE terminals).
