1 Press DMPORT.
You can also use the INPUT SELECTOR
on the receiver to select “DMPORT”.
2 Start playback of the connected
component.
The sound is played back on the receiver
and the image appears on the TV.
For details, refer to the operating
instructions supplied with the DIGITAL
MEDIA PORT adapter.
Notes
Depending on the type of DIGITAL MEDIA
PORT adapter, you can operate the connected
component by using the remote. For details on
remote button operation, see page 10.
Be sure you have connected the MONITOR OUT
of the receiver to the TV (page 67).
Tip
When listening to MP3 or other compressed music
using a portable audio source, you can enhance the
sound. Press MUSIC repeatedly to select
“PORTABLE” (page 52).
Creating a party
environment
(X-ROUND)
You can create a party environment by using
X-ROUND.
Be sure to use the buttons on the receiver for
this operation.
Press X-ROUND MODE repeatedly
to select the X-ROUND mode you
want.
Each time you press the button, the display
changes cyclically as follows:
X-WAVE
t X-FADER
t X-BAL t
X-OFF
X-ROUND mode and effect
Tip
You can get the best X-Round effect from 2 channel
sources.
Listening/watching a connected
component through DMPORT
connection
Select To
X-WAVE output sound in a circular
motion (clockwise direction).
X-FADER output sound back and forth
between the front speakers
and surround speakers.
X-BAL output sound back and forth
between the left speakers and
right speakers.
X-OFF return to the sound field
selected previously.
