6. Disk Type Check Identifies the inserted disc automatically. Result of identification is shown in the bottom column. Confirm that it is
right. There can be a case miss-identification when the machine is not adjusted yet after the EEPROM default
setting is made. The CD in which only the inner circumference is cut, can be incorrectly identified as a DVD.
7. Hydet init Initialization is performed for direct searching and the hall amplifier gain is displayed.
8. Sled init The sled offset is displayed after canceling the offset value when the sled is stopped.
9. Home Moves to home position.

Using this display, the playback system servo loops are turn on and off. The servo loops are normally turned on from the above described
item 0. then 1. and sequentially. Normal trace is obtained at the item of CLVA. Address or time code in the case of CD is displayed. If it is
not displayed, spindle servo fails to lock and the machine is faulty.
When the spindle system is faulty or when RF signal is not picked up, the spindle can run away. In such a case, do not operate CLVA.
0. LD Turns on and off the laser power.
1. SP Turns on and off the spindle system. When the spindle is turned on, it enter the constant speed mode.
2. Tilt Turns on and off the tilt servo system.
3. Focus Performs focus search and turns on the focus system. Operation is terminated when focus does not turn on after
searching for three times or so.
4. TRK. Turns on and off the tracking servo system.
5. Sled Turns on and off the sled servo system.
6. AGC Turns on and off the focus error auto gain control using the pull-in level.
7. CLVA Spindle normal servo
8. CAV Spindle constant speed mode
9. HOME Moves to home position
→. Sled FWD Moves the sled in the direction to outer circumference. Perform this item with the tracking servo system off.
←. Sled RVS Moves the sled in the direction to inner circumference. Perform this item with the tracking servo system off.
↑. Tilt Up Moves the tilt upwards.
↓. Tilt Down Moves the tilt downwards.
