UNPACKING
Do
not
throw
away
the
carton
and
associated
material;
they
will
come
in
handy
if
you
ever
have
to
transport
or
ship
your
set.
Inspect
your
turntable
immediately
after
unpacking.
If
any
sign
of
damage
is
found,
consult
your
local
Sony
dealer.

rubber
mat
surface
is
not
uniform,
leave
it
on
a
flat
surface
until
it
becomes
plane.
When
shipping
the
unit
for
repair
work
or
to
another
location,
the
unit
should
be
repacked
in
the
original
carton
and
packing
material
just
as
before.

fully
clockwise
to
secure
the
trans-
former
to
avoid
possible
damage
during
transportation.

Should
any
liquid
or
solid
object
fall
into
the
cabinet,
unplug
the
set
and
have
it
checked
by
qualified
personnel
before
operating
it
any
further.

Unplug
the
set
from
the
wall
outlet
when
it
will
not
be
used
for
an
extended
period
of
time.
@
No
lubrication
is
required
for
this
player.
The
motor
shaft
is
lubricated
for
its
life.
Therefore,
long
and
trouble-free
operation
is
ensured
without
lubrication.

the
cabinet
and
dust
cover
periodically
with
a
soft
dry
cloth.
Do
not
use
solvents
such
as
alcohol,
benzine
or
thinner,
since
they
will
damage
the
finish.
@Do
handle
the
rubber
mat
with
much
care
since
it
is
precisely
manufactured
with
a
special
liquid
internally
contained.
Do
not
pinch
nor
bend
it.
When
the
mat
becomes
dirty,
wipe
it
gently
with
a
soft
cloth
slightly
dampened
with
a
hot
water.

turntable

a
stable
and
level
surface.

Avoid
placing
the
set
near
electrical
appliances
(such
as
tele-
vision,
hair
dryer,
flourescent
lamp)
which
may
cause
hum
or
noise.

any
vibration
(such

from
speakers,
slamming
of
doors,
etc.)

Keep
the
set
away
from
direct
sunlight,
extreme
of
temperature
or
excessive
dust
and
moisture.

10cm
(five
inches)
clearance

set
so
that
the
cover
can
be
opened.

As
the
colours
of
the
wires
in
the
mains
lead
of
this
apparatus
may
not
correspond
with
the
coloured
markings
identifying
the
terminals
in
your
plug,
proceed
as
follows:
The
wire
which
is
coloured
green-and-yellow
must
be
connected
to
the
terminals
in
the
plug
which
is
marked
with
the
letter
E
or
by
the
earth
symbol
+&
or
coloured
green
or
green-and-yellow.
The
wire
which
is
coloured
blue
must
be
connected
to
the
terminal
which
is
marked
with
the
letter
N
or
coloured
black.
The
wire
which
is
coloured
brown
must
be
connected
to
the
terminal
which

ADAPTATION
TO
THE
LOCAL MAINS
SUPPLY
The
PS-6750
has
a
Voltage
selector
of
110
V,
127
V,
220
V
or
240
V,
located
at
the
turntable
frame.

Before
connecting
to
mains
supply,
check
that
the
Voltage
selec-
tor
indicates
the
same
voltage
as
your
local
mains
supply.
If
not
the
same,
change
the
Voltage
selector
setting.
@
Before
changing,
check
that
the
PS-6750
is
disconnected
from
the
mains
supply.
@
Remove
the
selector
cover.
Loosen
the
red-painted
screw
on
the
cover,
but
do
not
remove
it.
Remove
the
other
screw
from
the
cabinet.
Then
turn
the
cover
around
the
red-painted
screw
so
that
you
can
unplug
the
selector.
©
Pull
out
the
Voltage
selector
plug
and
reinsert
it
so
that
the
top
arrow
mark
of
the
plug
points
to
the
proper
voltage
marking.
@
After
changing
the
voltage,
reset
the
cover.
A
line
frequency
change
is
not
necessary
since
the
PS-6750
is
furnished
with
a
de
servo-controlled
motor.
CARTRIDGE
INSTALLATION
With
the
supplied
shell
(10.5
g),
a
cartridge
weighing
between
4-15g
can
be
used.
e@Refer
to
the
instructions
supplied
with
your
cartridge.
@
Install
the
Cartridge
to
the
Shell
with
the
two
of
the
supplied
Mounting
screws
according
to
the
height
of
your
cartridge.
Three
pairs
of
screws
of
various
lengths
are
supplied.
If
neces-
sary,
insert
the
supplied
spacer
as
illustrated
to
adjust
the
total
cartridge
height.

Connect
the
lead
wires
of
the
Shell
to
the
corresponding
pins
on
the
Cartridge.
