4.6 Changing wear parts of the machine
4.6.1
Changing the belt ref. 1

Remove the safety guards. Having brought the machine to its minimum pro-
duction speed, switch it off and unplug it from the power socket.

Remove the chain

With one hand, squeeze the belt between the two pulleys
ref. 3
and

and with the other, turn the handwheel
ref. 2

until it is pos-
sible to extract the belt.

Fit the new belt, by first forcing it between the sides of the variable pulley
ref. 3

until you have widened it as far as possible, and then fit it in
the driven pulley
ref. 4

, having first set the handwheel

to minimum production speed.

Refit the chain

Fit the side guards and secure them with the fixing screws.

Remove the side protection guards.

Raise the support base of the motor
ref. 3

until you can remove the
belt from the pulley race.

Keeping the base raised, fit the new belt.

Refit the side safety guards and secure them with the fixing screws.

PRIOR TO PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING OPERATIONS, MAKE
SURE THAT THE MACHINE CANNOT BE STARTED UP ACCIDEN-
TALLY OR UNINTENTIONALLY. DISCONNECT THE MACHINE PLUG
FROM THE MAINS POWER SOCKET.
Caution
Once the belt has been removed, the motor will be drawn downwards
by the tensioning spring connected between the motor base and
structure. Do not release the support base suddenly, but hold it in
position or guide it down as far as possible with your hand.
