10. INSTRUCTION FOR USE
10.1 Sideways movement
The stretcher support can be moved sideways acting on one of the three red levers shown in the picture. This movement is mechanically
operated.
Note: The side lever may be optional in your model.
WARNING: Never place the hands between the stretcher support and the floor when the stretcher support is moved sideways because this
may result in crushing injuries.
This feature can not be used when the vehicle is moving!
10.2 . Extraction of the stretcher support (if available)
The stretcher support can be partially extracted from its neutral position in order to make the loading procedures of the stretcher easier.
This feature can not be used when the vehicle is moving!
To extract the device, push down the extraction lever shown in the
picture and pull the stretcher support till the end of stroke (all out
position).
If the height is suitable for your stretcher, is possible to carry out
the loading/unloading of the stretcher.
Once the stretcher has been loaded/unloaded, push down again
the same lever and push the stretcher support inside the vehicle
making sure that it is properly locked.
In Compass model, when this lever has been activated, the tilt movement is also unlocked to allow easier loading and unloading of the
stretcher . Keep firmly the stretcher support during these movements, because inattention during handling could result in injuries to patients
and operators.
10.3 . Turn on and off the courtesy light
If the device is equipped with it, on the right side of the stretcher support is installed a led bar. The light can be turned ON or OFF using the
button placed on the front bumper.
If present, always turn off the courtesy light when the device is not used to avoid vehicle’s battery running out.
10.4 Housing for immobilization devices
BOB has a dedicated compartment (single or double) in which is
possible to store immobilization devices like spinal boards or pick-up
stretchers.
Notice: The pick-up stretcher must be inserted introducing first its
narrow side and with the top side facing up.
Once the device has been completely inserted, lock it with the
dedicated belt. Make the belt pass around the frame of the pickup
stretcher or inside the upper hole of the spinal board, then fix it joining
the strap zones.
