The Spencer SmartHub is an AC-powered, countertop, in-home medication dispenser designed to simplify medication adherence. It provides alerts for pre-determined medication dosing schedules and tracks adherence, communicating with SpencerCare™ (a web application for professional care teams) and SpencerAssist® (a mobile application for patients and caregivers).
Function Description:
The SmartHub dispenses medication packs at scheduled times, with visual and audio reminders. It supports normal, escalated, and missed dispense scenarios, adjusting alert intensity and screen color to indicate urgency. Users interact with the device via a touch screen, similar to a smartphone or tablet. The device also connects wirelessly to Bluetooth-enabled medical devices to collect health data such as weight, blood pressure, glucose, blood oxygen, and heart rate. This data is then sent to SpencerCare for monitoring by a professional care team. The SmartHub also features a "Meds on the Go" option, allowing users to dispense medications in advance for travel or periods away from home. Telehealth appointments can be conducted directly through the device's video chat feature.
