Normal Medication Dispensing
When the dispense time arrives, spencer wakes up and winks to tell you it is time for you to dispense
and take your medications. The Dispense button ashes and an alert sounds.
To dispense your medication, follow these instructions:
1. Touch the Dispense button to dispense your medication.
A screen similar to the one below displays with a message indicating the status of the dispense.
NOTE: Wait to remove the pack until it is ready!
When ready, spencer winks and the screen will indicate that “Your medication is ready.” The
dispenser ashes blue to let you know the meds are ready.
2. Remove each pack of medication from the dispenser.
3. Conrm your name, date, time, and the listed medication on the pack before taking your dispensed
dose.
Reminders, questions, or other messages may be displayed at the end of a dispense time.
4. If the message requires a response, touch the appropriate button on the screen. In the example
below, the user touches the OK button.
Answer any question by touching the appropriate answer. A question can have between three and
six possible answers, such as shown in the example below.
After responding to messages and questions, or if you do not respond within a certain amount of
time, you will return to the Home screen.
