(Original instructions)
d. Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and
do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or
these instructions to operate the power tool. Power
toolsaredangerousinthehandsofuntrainedusers.
e. Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or
binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any
other condition that may affect the power tools
operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired
before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly
maintainedpowertools.
f. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly
maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less
likelytobindandareeasiertocontrol.
g. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in
accordance with these instructions, taking into
account the working conditions and the work to be
performed. Use of the power tool for operations different
fromthoseintendedcouldresultinahazardoussituation.
5. Service
a. Have your power tool serviced by a qualied repair
person using only identical replacement parts. This
willensurethatthesafetyofthepowertoolismaintained.
Safety instructions for all saws
Cutting procedures
@
Danger: Keep hands away from cutting area
and the blade. Keep your second hand on
auxiliary handle, or motor housing.Ifboth
hands are holding the saw, they cannot be cut
by the blade
u Do not reach underneath the workpiece. The guard
cannotprotectyoufromthebladebelowtheworkpiece.
u Adjust the cutting depth to the thickness of the work-
piece. Less than a full tooth of the blade teeth should be
visiblebelowtheworkpiece.
u Never hold piece being cut in your hands or across
your leg. Secure the workpiece to a stable platform. It
isimportanttosupporttheworkproperlytominimizebody
exposure,bladebinding,orlossofcontrol.
u Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces when
performing an operation where the cutting accessory
may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Cutting ac-
cessorycontactinga"live"wiremaymakeexposedmetal
parts of the power tool "live" and could give the operator
anelectricshock
u When ripping, always use a rip fence or straight edge
guide. This improves the accuracy of cut and reduces the
chanceofbladebinding.
u Always use blades with correct size and shape (dia-
mond versus round) of arbour holes.
Blades that do not match the mounting hardware of the
sawwillruneccentrically,causinglossofcontrol.
u Never use damaged or incorrect blade washers or
bolt. The blade washers and bolt were specially designed
for your saw, for optimum performance and safety of
operation.
@
Warning! Contact with or inhalation of dusts
arising from sawing applications may endanger
the health of the operator and possible bystand-
ers.Wearadustmaskspecicallydesignedfor
protection against dust and fumes and ensure
thatpersonswithinorenteringtheworkareaare
alsoprotected.
u Thoroughlyremovealldustaftersawing.
u Donotletchildrenorpregnantwomenenterthework
area.
u Donoteat,drinkorsmokeintheworkarea.
u Disposeofdustparticlesandanyotherdebrissafely.
u Theintendeduseisdescribedinthisinstructionmanual.
The use of any accessory or attachment or performance
of any operation with this tool other than those recom-
mendedinthisinstructionmanualmaypresentariskof
personalinjuryand/ordamagetoproperty.
u The accessory will continue to move after releasing the
switch.Alwaysswitchthetooloffandwaitfortheacces-
sory to come to a complete standstill before putting the
tooldown.
u Keep blades sharp. Dull or damaged blades may cause
thesawtoswerveorstallunderpressure.Alwaysusethe
appropriatetypeofsawbladefortheworkpiecematerial
andtypeofcut.
u Whencuttingpipeorconduit,makesurethattheyarefree
fromwater,electricalwiring,etc.
u Donottouchtheworkpieceorthebladeimmediatelyafter
operatingthetool.Theycanbecomeveryhot.
u Be aware of hidden hazards, before cutting into walls,
oorsorceilings,checkforthelocationofwiringand
pipes.
u Avoid cutting nails, inspect the material that is being cut to
seeiftherearenailsinitandremovebeforecutting.
u Donotrunthesawwhilecarryingitatyourside.
u Makesurethedepthlockingleveristightandsecure
beforemakingacut.
u When cutting is interrupted or the blade bound, please
releasethetriggerimmediatelyandholdthesawrmly
inthematerialuntilthebladecomestoacompletestop.
Neverattempttoremovethesawfromtheworkorpull
thesawbackwardwhilethebladeisinmotion,otherwise,
kickbackmighthappen.
