Indirect Measurement I, II & III (Pythagorean)
Indirect measurement is obtained using a calculation based on the Pythagorean theorem (a²+b²=c²), where the result will
be the height:
- Simple Pythagorean:
1- With the instrument turned on, press the button three times to select the simple indirect measurement function ;
2- After a few moments the laser will be turned on;
3- A diagonal line will start pulsing ;
4- Aim the laser for the first measurement and press the button, the value of the diagonal is shown on the display;
5- Then a horizontal line will start pulsing;
6- Aim the laser to get the second measurement and press the button;
7- The instrument will perform the height calculation and show the result automatically on the display.
- Pythagorean with addition:
1- With the instrument turned on, press the button four times to select the indirect measurement with addition
function ;
2- After a few moments the laser will be turned on;
3- An upper diagonal line will start pulsing ;
4- Aim the laser for the first measurement and press the button, the value of the diagonal is shown on the display;
5- A lower diagonal line will start pulsing ;
6- Aim the laser to get the second measurement and press the button, the value of the diagonal is shown on the
display;
7- Next, a horizontal line will start pulsing ;
8- Aim the laser to get the third and last measurement and press the button;
9- The instrument will perform the calculation and show the result automatically on the display.
- Pythagorean with subtraction:
1- With the instrument turned on, press the button five times to select the indirect measurement with subtraction
function ;
2- After a few moments the laser will be turned on;
3- An upper diagonal line will start pulsing ;
4- Aim the laser for the first measurement and press the button, the value of the diagonal is shown on the display;
5- A lower diagonal line will start pulsing ;
6- Aim the laser to get the second measurement and press the button, the value of the diagonal is shown on the
display;
7- Next, a horizontal line will start pulsing ;
8- Aim the laser to get the third and last measurement and press the button;
9- The instrument will perform the calculation and show the result automatically on the display.
