  If the Steinsvik Digital Camera winch won't work, several factors could be at play. First, check for any growth on the rope and remove it. Next, ensure the winch rope isn't jammed; if it is, try loosening any knots. Inspect the winch cable for breaks or damages, paying attention to the contacts on the cable and in the PSU. Also, confirm that the camera rope is correctly threaded inside the circlip. Finally, a broken fuse could be the culprit, so check the fuse inside the PSU and replace it if necessary, but remember that only authorized personnel should perform this task.

Why does Steinsvik Orbit-3500 winch jerk or stop before reaching the bottom?

  If the Steinsvik Digital Camera winch jerks or stops before reaching the bottom, it could be due to a misplaced bottom stop switch. To resolve this, raise the hoop stopper up and down to the stop screw. A 'click' from the switch inside the winch should occur approximately 5 mm from the bottom position. If the hoop must be raised 1 cm or more to hear the click, the bottom stop switch is misplaced. Another potential cause is an error in the motor protection on the circuit board, in which case Steinsvik recommends a service on the winch.
