DATE: Current date.
CYCLE START: Time cycle started.
OPERATOR ID: Space for the operator’s name or initials.
DEVICE ID: Record your specific device or load identification.
PROCEDURE ID: Record your specific procedure identification.
PATIENT: Record your specific patient’s identification.
PHYSCN: Record your specific physician’s identification.
REMARKS: Space to include any information deemed appropriate by departmental
policy such as devices processed, procedure, patient name, etc. This space can
also be used to document filter changes and service on the Processor.
START EXPOSURE: Starting time of load exposure to the liquid chemical
sterilization process.
TEMP: Documents that the temperature range was attained and maintained
throughout the use dilution exposure time.
CONCENTRATION: Check to ensure that a new container of sterilant has been
inserted with each cycle. Concentration measures the actual equivalent units of
conductivity of the use dilution, not the concentration of peracetic acid.
EXPOSURE TIME: Documents the actual exposure time of the load to the use
dilution. Should always be 6 minutes.
FILL TIME: Number of minutes taken by the longest fill cycle. This could be for
the initial fill or for either of the two rinses.
INLET TEMP: Temperature of the water just before the heater is turned on after
the chamber is filled for the liquid chemical sterilization cycle.
ESTIMATED DAYS LEFT FOR MAXLIFE FILTER: Number of days until the
water filter will expire. This message will not appear until there are 15 or fewer
days left.
OPERATOR ID: Space for the operator’s name or initials.
SERIAL #: Serial number of the Processor.
CYCLE COUNT: Current cycle count. The cycle count is always sequentially
numbered. This count does not include DIAGNOSTIC cycles.
CYCLE COMPLETE: Time the cycle was completed. This time will generally
be less than 25 minutes from start time.
CHAMBER OPENED: Time the chamber seal is deflated.
NOTE: It is possible to receive an informational alert on the printout during a
successful liquid chemical sterilization cycle.
The alert indicates that extra time was needed to fill the chamber to ensure the
optimal water level was reached. If the optimal water level had not been reached
with the additional time, the cycle would have aborted. This is for information
only - no action is required.
