Fitting the Backpack
N Close the waist belt (1) and adjust it
so that it fits snugly against your hip.
N Adjust the harness straps (2) to the
correct length.
N Use the straps (3) to adjust the
harness to suit your size.
The back padding must fit firmly and
securely against your back.
Removing the Backpack
N Open the quick-release fastener on
the waist belt.
N Loosen the harness straps by lifting
the sliding adjusters and then take
off the backpack.
Throwing Off Machine
WARNING
The machine and backpack must be
quickly thrown off in an emergency. The
waist belt must be opened before
throwing the machine to the ground.
Accessory Bag
For tools, mowing head, nylon line and
similar items.
Accessory bag zipper must always be
closed while you are working.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of injury, do not carry
flammable liquids in the accessory bag
or allow objects to project from the
accessory bag.

1 Throttle trigger lockout
2 Throttle trigger
3 Stop switch with Run and Stop
positions. Press the stop switch
(…) to switch off the ignition – see
"Function of stop switch and ignition
system".
4 Starter switch – to start the engine

system
The stop switch is normally in the Run
position, i.e. when it is not depressed:
The ignition is switched on – the engine
is ready to start. Operate the stop switch
to switch off the ignition. The ignition is
switched on again automatically after
the engine stops.
