22 Troubleshooting Guide
Battery has reached end of
service life.
► Have the battery replaced by an authorized STIHL
iMow servicing dealer.
The robotic mower is docked, the
battery is not charging.
The battery does not need to be
charged.
► No action necessary. The battery charging occurs
automatically below a certain voltage.
Docking station not connected to
power supply.
► Check power supply to the docking station, @ 10.3.
Incorrect docking. ► Place the robotic mower in the mowing area and
send it back to the docking station (@ 14.3), check
for correct docking. If necessary, correct the position
of the docking station,@ 10.3.
Charging contacts corroded. ► Have the charging contacts replaced by an
authorized STIHL iMow servicing dealer.
Docking not working. Uneven entry area to docking
station.
► Level out the entry area to the docking station,
@ 14.3.
Dirty drive wheels or dirty base
plate.
► Clean the drive wheels and the base plate of the
docking station, @ 20.
Perimeter wire incorrectly routed
in area of docking station.
► Re-route the perimeter wire. Ensure correct routing
in the area of the docking station, @ 11.
Ends of perimeter wire not cut. ► Cut the perimeter wire as described and route it
without excess length. Do not roll up protruding
ends, @ 10.5.
The robotic mower travels past
the docking station or docks at an
angle.
Wire signal affected. ► Link the robotic mower and docking station again.
Ensure that the robotic mower is in correct
alignment to the docking station.
Perimeter wire incorrectly routed
in area of docking station.
► Re-route the perimeter wire. Ensure correct routing
in the area of the docking station, @ 11.
► Check for correct connection of the perimeter wire
ends in the docking station, @ 10.5.
The robotic mower has crossed
the perimeter wire.
Perimeter wire incorrectly routed,
clearances are not correct.
► Check the routing of the perimeter wire, @ 10.7.
Slope of mowing area too steep. ► Check the clearances with the iMow Ruler, @ 11.3.
Interference affecting the robotic
mower.
► Contact an authorized STIHL iMow servicing dealer.
The robotic mower frequently
becomes stuck.
Cutting height too low. ► Increase the cutting height, @ 17.3.
Drive wheels dirty. ► Clean the drive wheels, @ 20.
Always activate the disabling device before carrying out any inspection, cleaning or maintenance.
