Fasten the red cable (1) to the positive (+) 
terminal of the battery with the screw (2), 
washer (3) and nut (4).
Tighten the connection to a torque of 
4 - 5Nm using two A/F 8 spanners. Fit 
cap (5) to completely cover the 
connection.
Fasten the black cable (1) to the 
negative (–) terminal of the battery with the 
screw (2), washer (3) and nut (4).
Tighten the connection to a torque of 
4 - 5Nm using two A/F 8 spanners.
Lift the battery (1) and tilt inwards slightly. 
Carefully insert the battery, making sure 
that the two connection cables are 
properly stowed in the battery 
compartment.
● Close the battery compartment.

15.20 Fuses
Checking the plug-in fuses:
The plug-in fuses are located in the battery 
compartment.
● Stop the engine. (Ö 13.3)
● Engage the parking brake. (Ö 8.14)
● Remove the ignition key and keep it in a 
safe place.
● Open the battery compartment. 
(Ö 15.18)
Remove the plug-in fuses (1,2). Visually 
check whether the wire (3) in the plastic is 
damaged (burnt through).
Replace damaged fuses.
Charging device (1): 15 A
Electrics (2): 10 A

Checking the main fuse:
The main fuse (150 amps) is located 
behind the battery.
● Remove the battery. (Ö 15.19)
Fire hazard!
Never bypass the fuses with wire or 
foil. 
Never use a fuse with a value that 
differs from the specified rating 
(amperes).
If a new fuse blows within a short 
time, an electrical fault (e.g. short 
circuit) is the probable cause.
