Open the cover (1) by lightly pressing the 
tabs (2) to the rear.
Visually check whether the fuse (3) is 
damaged (blown). If necessary have the 
fuse (3) replaced by a specialist dealer. 
STIHL recommends STIHL specialist 
dealers.
● Close the cover again.
● Install the battery. (Ö 15.19)
15.21 Charging the battery using the 
charger plug
The STIHL ACB 010 battery float charger 
or the STIHL ADL 012 diagnostic charger 
(neither included in standard equipment) 
can be connected.
Only float charging can be performed with 
the STIHL ACB 010 battery float charger.
Both float charging and full charging 
(charging an empty battery) can be 
performed with the ADL 012 diagnostic 
charger.
Before connecting:
● Read and observe the information in 
the instruction manuals for the STIHL 
chargers.
● Read and observe the instructions in 
the battery supplementary sheet.
Connecting:
● Stop the engine. (Ö 13.3)
● Engage the parking brake. (Ö 8.14)
● Open the engine hood. (Ö 15.3)
Only connect the STIHL ACB 010 battery 
float charger or the STIHL ADL 012 
diagnostic charger to the charger plug (1).
15.22 Replacing headlamp bulbs
Bulb designation:
12V 6W BA9s
● Open the engine hood. (Ö 15.3).
Avoid damage to the machine! 
Never charge the battery when the 
engine is running.
Only the STIHL ACB 010 battery 
float charger or the STIHL ADL 012 
diagnostic charger may be 
connected to the charger plug. 
Other chargers, particularly those 
with a higher charging current, can 
damage the machine.
In order to charge the battery using 
another chargers, it must first be 
removed.
When replacing defective lamp 
bulbs, always use 12V bulbs rated 
at 6W.
