Danger to employees
According to the German Ordinance on Indus-
trial Safety and Health (BetrSichV) and labour
protection law (ArbSchG), the operating com-
pany must determine and assess hazards dur-
ing operation, and establish the labour protec-
tion measures required for employees (Betr-
SichVO). The operating company must there-
fore draw up appropriate operating instruc-
tions (§ 6 ArbSchG) and nominate a person
who is responsible for these operating instruc-
tions. Drivers must be informed of the operat-
ing instructions that apply to them.
