Evap Leak Test
The OBD2 system monitors the fuel system for fuel vapor leakage to ensure that no hydrocarbons
(HC) leak into the atmosphere. EVAP monitor does two things:
1) Ensure that the gasoline vapor is sent to the intake pipe at the right time, and mixed with the
air to enter the engine for combustion.
2) Prevent fuel vapor in the fuel pipe from leaking into the atmosphere and polluting the
environment.
