Now attach the Paddle Trocar,
Antegrade and the AO T-Handle
Medium Coupling (Fig. 39). Then,
advance them together with the Long
Tissue Protection Sleeve through
the targeting hole for the Antegrade
Femoral Mode (left or right) by
pressing the safety clip (Fig. 40). The
mecha nism will keep the sleeve in
place and prevent it from falling out.
It will also prevent the sleeve from
sliding during screw measurement. To
release the Tissue Protection Sleeve,
the safety clip must be pressed again.
A small skin incision is made and the
assembly is pushed through by mani-
pulating the T-Handle until the Tissue
Protection Sleeve is in contact with the
lateral cortex (Fig. 41).
