1.4 Server Chassis Features
Control Panel
Power buttons and status LEDs are located on the control panel at the front of the chassis.
The locations and descriptions of these buttons and LEDs are provided below. See Chapter
4 for details on the control panel connections.

Control Panel Features
Features Description
Power Button
The main power switch applies or removes primary power from the power supply to the
server but maintains standby power.
Reset Button Reboots the system.
Power LED
Steady on – Power on
Blinking at 4Hz – Checking BIOS/BMC integrity


Blinking at 1Hz and "i" LED red – Fault detected
NIC LEDs 
Power Fail LED Indicates a power supply module has failed.
HDD LED 
Information LED Alerts operator to several states (noted in the table below).
