Chapter 4: Motherboard Connections
Headers
Onboard Fan Headers
There are ten onboard fan headers (FAN1-FAN10) located on the motherboard. FAN1-FAN8
are used for system cooling, whereas FAN9/FAN10 are used as Active CPU heatsink fans.
All onboard fans are 4-pin fan headers, which are backward compatible with traditional 3-pin
fans. However, only 4-pin fans can support fan speed control (via Hardware Monitoring in the
BMC). Please use either all 3-pin fans or all 4-pin fans on the same motherboard.

TPM Header
The JTPM1 header is used to connect a Trusted Platform Module (TPM)/Port 80, which is
available from a third-party vendor. The TPM/Port 80 connector is a security device that
supports encryption and authentication in hard drives. It allows the motherboard to deny
access if the TPM associated with the hard drive is not installed in the system. See the table

RAID Key Header
A RAID Key header is located at JRK1 on the motherboard. RAID key is used to support
NVMe SDD. Please refer to the layout below for JRK1 location.
