Mini-PCIe mSATA
The X10SDV-TP8F supports a mini-PCIe mSATA SSD card. The mSATA is mux with the
I-SATA5.
Installing an mSATA Mini-PCIe Card
1. Access the motherboard and locate the mSATA mini PCIe connector (Figure 1.3, JMP1)
2. Gently insert mini-PCIe card into the connector. For a half size card, obtain the optional
bracket, P/N MCP-120-00089-0N, to support your card.
3. Use screws to secure the mini-PCIe card to the MP_SRW1 or MP_SRW2 standoff.
M.2
M.2 is formerly known as Next Generation Form Factor (NGFF). The X10SDV-TP8F deploys
an M key (2242/2280/22110) dedicated for SSD devices with the ultimate performance
capability in a PCI Express 3.0 x4 interface for native PCIe SSD support. The M.2 is mux
with the I-SATA4 port for legacy SATA SSD devices.
Installing the M.2 Card
1. Access the motherboard and locate the M.2 connector (Figure 1.3, JMD1: M2)
2. Gently insert the M.2 card into the connector.
3. Use a screw to secure the M.2 card to the M2_SRW1 or M2_SRW2 standoff.
