Insert the phase contrast slide into condenser slot until it clicks into
position. For example, a 10x Ph1 objective with Ph1 phase slide.

Remove the eyepieces and replace them with the centring telescope.
●
Bring the centering telescope into focus, so that the black ring of
objective phase plate and segmented phase annulus of phase slide are
in focus.
●
Use the knurled screws to center the black ring of phase plate and
phase annulus of phase slide.
●
Phase contrast is ready when the light of segmented phase annulus sits
on the black ring of phase plate.
