12. Thoroughly clean and/or replace all bearings, nuts, washers, and bushings.
NOTE: Both the left and right side bushings and thrust bearings should be
replaced as a set.
13. Assemble in reverse order.
14. Pack the thrust bearing with grease.
15. Install the king pin and tighten the king pin nut until
it contacts the bottom of the knuckle. Do not tighen
so much as to squeeze the legs of the knuckle
together.
NOTE: Refer to Replace Front Wheel
Bearings for information regarding
proper tightening of the spindle nut
16. Install new cotter pins.
17. Realign the wheels.
NOTE: Refer to the Steering section for information regarding realignment
of the front wheels.
18. Lower the vehicle.
19. Reconnect the main positive and negative cables at the batteries.
20. Remove the blocks from behind the wheels.
21. Release the park brake and test drive the vehicle
