If you want the battery backup time to be longer after power outage or if you want the battery to
have a longer life time, the value needs to be set higher appropriately. The following figure is the
relationship between discharge depth and cycle life of a GEL battery for reference.

The depth of discharge critically affects the number of cycles which a battery will complete during
its life time.
