RECORD LEVEL SET (NORMAL)
1. Thread a record Test Tape SCOTCH #150 or equivalent on the unit.
2. Place RECORD BIAS switch NORMAL, EQ switch NORMAL position.
3. Apply a 400 Hz signal at -8 dB to the LINE IN jacks.
4, Adjust REC LEVEL VR-809/810 for -8 dB signal at OUTPUT jacks
(These adjustments are on the rear panel).
OVERALL FREQUENCY RESPONSE (NORMAL)
S. Apply signals swept from 40 Hzv22 kHz at -28 dB to LINE IN jacks
and record.
6. Adjust VR-551 for best response (L-ch, R-ch both). |
7. Change the Tape SPEED switch to the 9.5 cm-+3-3/4 position.
| 8. Apply signals swept from 40 Hz.13 kHz at -28 dB.
9. Check for overall frequency response. No further adjustment is
provided.

MONOPHONIC RECORDING
1. Place the RECORD MODE switch L (or R, not both) to the "ON" and
| R (or L) to the OFF position.
2. Apply signals swept from 40 Hzv24 kHz at -28 dB to LINE IN jacks
