  If your Technische Alternative Control Unit displays incorrect temperatures, values such as -999 or 999 do not necessarily indicate a material or terminal error; this can happen if a sensor short-circuits or if there is an interruption. Ensure that the correct sensor types (KTY or PT1000) are selected in the menu under SENSOR. You can also check the sensor by replacing the suspected defective sensor with a working one on the strip terminal and observing the display.

  If your Technische Alternative Control Unit malfunctions but shows realistic temperature values, check the program number, switch-on and switch-off thresholds, and the set differential temperatures. Verify if the settings in the submenus have been changed. See if the output can be switched on and off in manual mode. Ensure all sensors are connected to the correct terminals. You can also heat up the sensor using a cigarette lighter and observe the display.
