Themarkingdepthdependsontheimpactpower,andalsothedistancebetweenthestylusandthepart.
ForM4inlinemachine,adviseddistanceis3mm.WiththistuningthemarkingdepthresultisgradualfromForce1
to6.
Duringintegrationitmaybenecessarytomodifythedistancebetweenstylusandpart.Operatingrangeforeach
forceisasfollow:
Force1:from1mmto4mm
Force2:from2mmto6mm
Force3:from2mmto8mm
Force4:from2mmto8mm
Force5:from2mmto8mm
Force6:from2mmto8mm
Respectingthedistancestylus‐partisfundamentaltogetthedesiredmarkingdepthwithanoptimalmarkingquality
Fortheweakforces(1,2or3),ifthestylusistoofaritwillnottouchthepartduringthemarking.
Forthehighforces(4,5and6),morethestylusisfar(inthelimitofitspotentialtravelof9mm),moretheimpact
willbepowerful.
Note:markingsmallcharacterswithahighforcecancreateanillegiblemarking.
Toavoidconstraintswiththedistancesettings,TechnomarkallowsyoutousethetechnologyIDI.
When activating the IDI function (see marking parameters) a suitable marking depth is applied, whatever the
distancestylus/partis,intherangeof1to8mmtoensureaconstantrendering.
WhentheIDIfunctionisactivated,themachinemakesatestimpacttoevaluatethedistanceandadjusttheforce
usedtocorrespondtowhatisaskedfor.
IDIfunctionisavailableintwodifferentmodes:
Flatmode:Thetestimpactisdoneateachbeginningofline.Thisisidealforflatshapes,withlittleslope.
Note:Idealtohavethesamehittingdepthonthepart,withoutworryingaboutthedistance.
Curvedmode: The testimpact isdone ateach beginning of character. Thismodeallowsaconstantdepth
whenmarkingoncylinders,corrugatedparts,…
Note:Idealtomarkpartswithaconstantdepthwhentheypresentanunevendistancealongthelengthof
themarking.
