13.4 - INTERFACE FOR PRESSURE SENSOR
The TE550 welding control unit, besides its standard features, may measure the voltage at
the electrodes tips of a welder for the constant energy functioning by means of the optional
board 50200. Or, it may measure the welding pressure detected by a pressure sensor
externally placed from the unit by means of the optional board 50189.
According to the optional board which is set on the control unit, it will be necessary to properly
set the parameter INPUT VE/PRE in the FEATURES MENU.

By setting the parameter INPUT VE/PRE to PRE in the PROGRAM DATA menu, the
PROGRAM DATA menu will display the two limits relevant to the pressure value measured by
the sensor.

If PRES. MIN gets a value greater or equal to PRES. MAX, a programming error will be
displayed.
The input signal to the board 50189 (between the PIN 58 and 59) must be a 4 - 20mA signal
having a range 0 - 10bar.
The polarity of the input signal does not affect the measurement of the measured pressure
value.
