SI N G LE -S WEEP DIS PL AY
1 . Obtain α Signal Display .
2 . F or random signals, set the Α T RIGGER LEVEL
control to trigger the sweep
on
α signal that

approximately the same amplitude as the random signal .
3 . M omentarily press in the Α TRIGGER SGL
S
WP
RESET push button . If no trigger signal is present, the
TRIG'D-READY light should illuminate to indicate that the Α
Sweep Generator circuit is set to initiate α sweep w hen α
trigger signal is r eceived . The n ext trigger
pulse
will initiate
the sweep, and α single trace will b e d
isplayed .
4 . When t he single sweep is triggered and t he
sweep
com p leted, the Sweep-Logic circuitry is then locked out .
Another sweep cannot b e generated until the SGL S WP
RESET p ush button is again pressed i n to set the Α
Swee p
Generator to the READY condition .

Displaying α T V Line-rate Signal
1 . Display of the d esired T V signal (see "Signal Display"
procedure) .
2 . Set the ΑS EC/DIV control to 10 μ s, and the Α & Β ΙΝΤ
switch either to CH 1 or to CH 2, as appropriate for t he
applied signal .
3 . Set the Α T RIGGERS LOPE switch either for α posi-
tive-going signal (lever up, if the applied TV signal sync
pulses are positive-going) or for α n egative-going signal (le-
ver down, if the TV sync pulses are n egative-going) .
4 . Adjust the Α T RIGGER LEVEL control for α stable
display, and the Α I NTENSITY control for d esired display
brightness . If necessary, adjust the VERTICAL VOLTS/DIV
control to obtain α trace h aving 5 d ivisions or greater ampli-
tude with α stable display .
