Subthreshold current or drain family of curves measurement
device connections
Both a subthreshold current and a drain family of curves measurement use the same instrument
connections. Both 2470s are configured to source voltage and measure current.
In this circuit:
• Connect the Force HI terminal of 2470 #1 to the gate of the FET.
• Connect the Force HI terminal of 2470 #2 to the drain of the FET.
• Connect the source of the FET to the Force LO terminals of both 2470s.
To source and measure from all three terminals of the FET, you need a third 2470.
The following figure shows an I-V test configuration for a FET using two 2470s.
