Waveforms
The
Integrate
circuit
permits
storage
of
waveforrns
of
relatively
fast
sweep
rates
with
relatively
low
repetition
rates.
Waveforms
that
might
be
difficult
to
see
because
o
the
low
sweep
duty
cycle
(orthat
have
poor
resolution
due
to
the
required
high
setting
of
the
INTENSITY
control)
can
often
be^
stored
using
the
Integrate
method
to
produce
brightness
or
better
resolution.

a
display
on
the
screen
(either
written
or
stored)
when
the
display
is
not
needed.

CAUTION

Do
not
attempt

store
extremely
fast-rising
or
fast-

portions
of
waveforms
viewed
at
relatively
slow
sweep
rates.
The
high
trace
intensity
required
(due
to
the
intensity
difference
between
the
horizon-
tal
and
vertical
segments)
could
cause
storage
target
damage.

Some
oscilloscopes
contain
a
factory
installed
c^ored
(usually
blue
or
green)
plastic
light
filter
in
front
thecrt
faceplate
to
improve
general
purpose
viewmg
contrast
m
ambient
lighting
conditions
(in
some
this
device
also
functions
as
an
implosion
safety
shield).
To
use
the
Integrate
function,
first
obtain
a
triggered,
well-defined
display.
Then
second
to
several
seconds
is
reasonable).
If
all
portions
of
the
display
are
not
properly
stored,
repeat
the
integrate
period
with
higher
trace
intensity.
Reduce
the
trace
intensity
so
that
the
display
is
just
visible
(erase
display
each
time
intensity
is
adjusted)^

trace
intensity

periods

either
a
clear
or
colored
ight
filter
when
no
other
implosion
shield
is
optional
accessory
mesh
filters
are
not
intended
for
mplosion
protection
and
must
be
removed
when
using
an
