4.9. Configuration steps
Reset and restore delivery state

In the case of a reset, the complete configuration is deleted and all parameters are set to the
default factory settings. A reset takes a few seconds. Meanwhile, a high-pitched beep is heard.
Enter the security code Default: 0000

The security code has four digits and consists only of digits. Enter the new code twice in a row.
To prevent unauthorised configuration, the default security code must be changed.
Allow configuration Default: 0

The configuration mode allows the configuration of the device either remotely via a telephone with
DTMF dialling or locally on the device via an existing keypad or an existing display.
It is possible to switch off the configuration on the device, i.e. via the keypad or display and only
allow remote configuration instead, i.e. via phone. Alternatively, the configuration can be switched
off completely via the configuration mode.
Call answering Default: 1
03 0 # accept manually
1 # accept automatically
2 # reject
An incoming call can be accepted automatically immediately after its signalling or manually at the
touch of a button.
With manual call answering, a person in front of the device can accept the call by pressing a call
button or a key on the keypad while the call is pending.
If it is set that incoming calls are to be rejected, then incoming calls are terminated as soon as they
are signalled, without an acoustic signal on the device.
