2.1PrinciplesofOperation
The TUG Model 660-28 is equipped with either a 4-cylinder Gasoline and LPG engine. The engine’s
power is transmitted to the transmission, drive shaft, differential assembly, reduction gears and drive axle
assembly. The vehicle operation employs standard disc brakes on the front wheels and drum brakes are
provided on the rear wheels.
Steering system utilizes orbital-operated hydraulic cylinders (hydrostatic steering).
An adjustable drivers seat is located on the left side of the vehicle.
The vehicle is designed to travel at maximum speed of 25 - 28 mph (35 - 40 km/h) forward.
2.2Operator’sCompartment
The control layout is designed to combine maximum driving comfort with maximum efficiency.
It is essential that the operator becomes accustomed to both the location and the operation of the
instruments/controls before attempting to operate the vehicle. Figure Operation-2-1 Operators
Compartment displays the location of controls, while the corresponding Table Operation-2-1, Operator
Compartment,provides a brief summary of their operation.
